High Hopes for Atlantic City Diversification & Casinos

I began my gaming career in Atlantic City long before the Borgata casino opened.  The casino industry was booming, and it seemed like a good fit for me - as it turns out, it was and still is.  I have high hopes for Atlantic City but some have doubts.  My hopes are spawned from the pride I have in NJ.  I was born and raised in Newark NJ, went to high-school and college there.  But I also worked in AC casinos for thirteen years and can assure you; there was no shortage of passion and pride then.  But there are doubters about Atlantic City's looming renaissance, and they have some legitimacy. I suspect it's doubt based on AC history, and some of the missed opportunities AC has experienced -but that's the past.  I for one believe in the future, and what I see; it's what that town can be.  I truly believe it will ultimately become a safe resort town with diversified industrial representation and commerce, whose workforce will be the incubator the town needs to help drive the local economy as well as bolster the resort town's off-season.   Serious folks are rolling the dice on AC once again, and it's not a game, and its real money - big money - because there's a big future for Atlantic City and that future starts in two months.
